I am a fully registered Accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP) and work to their code of ethics, and an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant and Clinical Supervisor.
I studied at Wealden College of Counselling and Psychotherapy on their BACP Accredited Diploma in Counselling Course where I was awarded a Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling.
I have specialist experience of working with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), trauma and abuse. I have also previously worked as a counsellor and supervisor for Cruse Bereavement Care and have many years experience of working with grief and loss.
I am a qualified supervisor and can offer 1:1 or group supervision to qualified or training counsellors/psychotherapists, EMDR therapists and other healthcare professionals.

As an EMDR Consultant I have undertaken advanced training, clinical practice, supervision and accreditation beyond standard EMDR practitioner level.
I offer EMDR therapy and psychotherapy from my practice in East Sussex and online throughout the UK. Many of my clients choose to work online, allowing them to access specialist trauma therapy regardless of location.
Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly-regarded evidence-based treatment. Scientific research has established EMDR as effective for post traumatic stress disorders and has also been successfully applied in the treatment of pain, phobias, panic and a variety of anxiety disorders including performance anxiety, complicated grief, sexual and/or physical abuse and disturbing memories.
I am an attachment-informed EMDR Consultant which means I integrate the principles of attachment theory into the EMDR therapy process. Attachment theory focuses on the impact of early relationships on emotional and psychological well-being. In the context of EMDR, an attachment-informed approach considers how early attachment experiences may influence an individual’s response to trauma.
Sometimes the difficulties we experience as adults are not linked to one traumatic event but to repeated experiences of feeling unsupported, criticised, unseen or emotionally alone. My attachment-informed approach to EMDR helps us to understand how early relationships may continue to affect self-esteem, relationships and emotional wellbeing today.
I have a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Therapeutic Practice for Psychological Trauma (Distinction) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Trauma and PTSD.
I am trained in Critical Incident Debriefing for individuals or groups.
I provide psychological support, supervision and training to organisations such as the NHS, the emergency services, and the humanitarian aid sector.
I have, therefore, gained a vast experience in working with many different client issues and I am trained in many areas of therapy, in particular, working with PTSD, trauma, abuse, bereavement, depression, anxiety, anger and am happy to work in either short or long term therapy.
